I bought these as a Christmas present for my husband who is a big carpenter. We have a project in our basement that requires a very uneven cut on the wall and these templates will work GREAT for this project! This will make it much easier to trace and cut the shape to fit the wall. I showed how to use them in a video review to help others who need to "see" them in use. I can't wait to give them to my husband! He will be so surprised! I'll be sure to update my review once we start our project this spring so you can see it in action too. The "needles" can be loosened or tightened depending on your preference as shown in my video. Standard sizes are also printed on each gauge. The set also includes a pair of accessories (pencil, sharpener and eraser).
