Review on ๐Ÿงฒ Olsa Tools Hex Bit Organizer: Magnetic Base, Quality Holder for Specialty Bits - Drill or Tamper Bits for Professionals (Orange) by Josh Andrews

Good tool, easy to set up

I write a lot for an online off-road magazine. I bought this tool to help pack my trail tools. I have a few comments straight out of the gate. 1) The distribution of the holes is well done, but they are too deep for some of the bits to magnetize properly. If the bit is a normal width throughout its length, no problem. However, if the drill bit flares out a bit at the top (as many do), like your larger hex wrenches and 1/4" drill presses, they won't sink deep enough for the magnet to even hold them. I'm going to solve this by drilling the top of some holes. 2) I would like the magnet to be a bit more aggressive. Even for bits that are fully seated, they will hold upside down, but a little pressure or rattling will cause them to fall out. This scenario often takes place in a tool bag (attached to the jeep hull) jumping off-road. I solved this problem by making a sheath. For now it's just tape, but in the future I'll take my time to make one out of canvas. 3) The choice of color (red) is ideal because you want your tools to be easily visible. Then too often you put something down on the trail and they get lost in all the leaves, sticks, dirt, gravel, etc. Overall, I'm glad I bought the bit holder. It's the perfect size for a couple of bits and saves space in your tool bag. If it was just mounted on a bench I could see it was almost perfect.
