Review on Case Thermaltake Core V21 (CA-1D5-00S-1WN) by Adam Woods ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Bought to replace an old Cooler Master for my son. There was an opportunity to pull the computer out of the niche where it stood in the light of day and somehow embellish it. Before buying, you should still be clearly aware of the dimensions - despite the fact that I looked at them in the characteristics, the reality was somewhat shocking - these are two ATX Towers placed side by side - which means that the case is NOT small. Due to the size and all the removable walls, it is very convenient to assemble this transformer. General conclusion - if you have: 1. There is a place for him to install; 2. Desire to help him a little or not even a little later; 3. Lay the possibility of an upgrade in the future; then this is for you. It should be borne in mind that it is precisely because of the size that the front vent, despite 200 mm, creates a rather sluggish flow, so for hot stones and video cards, immediately think over the top exhaust or side blower sets of 120 or 140 mm fans - fortunately, you can put up to 6 pcs on standard mounts. + one rear 120 or 140, or CBO variant.

Pros
  • The design is minimalist but no less pleasant. Thanks to the square section and equal covers, the case can be twisted as you like: make the side bottom or top, etc. for this, even the logo on the front panel on the magnet so that it can be deployed depending on how it will be used. Such versatility means that the motherboard can be placed both horizontally and vertically + assembled so that the transparent window is on the right side, modding fans will especially appreciate this. The power supply fits a standard ATX, it is installed in a kind of niche where you can then remove excess power wires, I was pleased with a separate mounting bracket with rubber bands to dampen the fan rotation. Hard drives: there is a basket next to the PSU for * 3.5 "devices, it is in the same niche as the PSU, there are trays for 3 * 2.5" standing along the motherboard with the ability to discretely move them along the longitudinal axis - for example, close the view on PSU wires. Pretty sensible instructions + a set of fasteners, the only thing you can complain about is a small amount of nylon ties for laying wires. The ability to install tower coolers and long video cards. Although the case was originally designed for fans or CBOs of its own production, everything is installed and not native (fortunately, TT did not invent any unique standards) 120/140 mm fans, the kit immediately comes with a 200 mm fan on the front panel. We were pleased with the anti-dust magnetic grids - with the current requirements for the passage of air for cooling, this is the very thing.
Cons
  • There is none of them.
