Unbelievable Price Direct Drive Trainer

I tried several wheels on running shoes and they all had to come back because of the insane noise they make. I wanted a direct drive, but the cheapest option I found was $750 for the Tacx Flux S. So this $300 thing is an amazing deal. Resistance changes depending on class by shifting up or down. It's definitely not that pleasant, but I'll be tackling the smart features any day now. Assembling the device itself was easy. Loading the cartridge was new to me so it took a little longer, but that's what you have to do with any direct drive device. I took the advice of another review and put the batteries in before installing the bike. As for noise, this thing is quiet. I don't think you can hear the squeaks from the unit itself, just the transmission of the chain moving and switching. He's very, very calm. It connects to Zwift via Bluetooth with no issues. You only get power metrics, which Zwift uses to determine speed. I don't think it's a big deal, Zwift gets crazy fast anyway when going up or down a hill. You can also add a cadence sensor to the crank for improvement. something with Zwift. Stability is probably the only thing I would deduct a star for. It seems to be moving a little more than I would like. If you're on the upper weight limit for this thing, be aware that it'll flex a bit underneath you. I never feel like I'm going to fall or anything, I just want to celebrate. I would also like to point out that I have no idea how reliable this product's warranty will be. According to the instructions, warranty claims have to be sent directly to China and I'm not sure who will end up paying for that. I hope I don't have to find out. Overall, this trainer offers incredible value for money. Just know what you're getting in terms of warranty.

  • Smooth pedaling and a great choice for beginner bikers. A moment of inertia of 50,000 kg*mm² ensures a realistic driving experience, even in the living room.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
