It might as well be rubber
My small countertop (butcher's block, 4" x 2") wobbles at the slightest touch like a bowl of jelly. I've tried to securely fasten the bindings and secure the legs well, but the simple fact is that the metal of the bindings is paper thin and totally useless for making the legs strong.
