When my 17" MacBook Pro screen was damaged, the replacement cost was too high. I threw it away but kept two hard drives that went into my desk drawer to be forgotten. Then I saw this dock and realized I could use it to back up drives. The price was right so I took a chance. I gave him 5 stars because he did everything I needed. Now I have two full backups. And shortly after, an unknown file got corrupted, which, among other things, prevented me from sending and receiving emails. I tried everything and got cornered. I've been using Mac Time e Machine and this is the first time I've attempted to completely replace one of these drives. Voila. I'm back in business after spending many hours troubleshooting to no avail. Doc was money well spent.
