This type of product is generally not expensive but I paid extra for it because I like the little hole on one end . Some other available ones don't have this. The opening allows you to wrap it around your cables and it stays attached during use. If you don't have a hole, the tape won't attach when you unwind the cord and it's easy to lose it. It's a small feature, but I like it. I also like that it comes in different colors because I like organizing and coloring things. One tip I eventually learned is to wrap the cords with the hooks on the inside and the softer loop on the outside so they don't snag on things. I've been using mine on a lot of different cords including headphones which I use on a daily basis for a couple of weeks now with no complaints.
