I needed a battery powered phone mount to support my weekend volunteering as a cycling warden for running and cycling events. I used to carry my phone and a small battery in my jersey pocket and had to stop to get them out to contact race officials or take calls. I was looking for a carry on mount that also fits the battery so I can run GPS tracking apps so organizers know my position on the track (it drains the battery) and take hands free calls. This mount does the trick and holds a phone sized battery so I can use it to charge other things like my Garmin computer or GoPro camera in addition to my phone. The main disadvantage is that the rubber mount stretches when I try to attach it. It doesn't really offer an ultra-secure mount, although I haven't noticed it moving too much or losing grip on the phone. It would be nice if the ratchet loop was more reinforced so it doesn't stretch. Overall this is a good mount that suits my needs.
