I bought these because they are wire and my child accidentally breaks the plastic. When they arrived we replaced all of his hangers with them. When he took the shirt off the new hanger the next day, one of them broke. At the end of the day another one broke. Yes, he's greedy, but he's a kid. The design is somewhat misleading. I thought the hanger was all wire. This is a hanger. I didn't really read the product reviews. because it's just a hanger and I'm a busy parent. So, busy parents, take note: instead of the entire hanger being coated wire (and the velvet part), the top of the wire is actually screwed into the white part where the top meets the hanger. Is this material some kind of crumbly plastic or maybe ceramic? So my kid, who is a greedy kid, ripped the shirt off the hanger, that white area where the metal threads in the white material break on the side so it can't be rolled back up. Let's get back to plastic hangers. . Yes, they break, but not that quickly. I'll just take more and throw these away.
