Review on Versatile and Sturdy Professional Mini Ball πŸ“· Head Camera Mount: A Must-Have for Precision Shots by Manuel Brown

Great light ball head. I use it for my external flashes

Okay, just because it says "professional" doesn't mean it will hold 10lbs. Putting an expensive/heavy DSLR or lens on it will get you into trouble. That's called common sense. It's like that 400-pound woman who sued the chair manufacturer β€” the chair was rated for a maximum weight of 220 pounds, and she decided to buy it anyway β€” and crush it. Yes, this is a professional quality ball head - with a maximum weight limit of about two. pounds It supports my 580EXII flash with no problems. This also works with a compact camera, but not with a DSLR. But then again, it's not designed for DSLR cameras. You will have no trouble using a light camera or flash. The processing quality is perfect. It works with 1/4-20 or 3/8-24 threads (adapters included and installed). The grip that tightens the ball does not put tension directly on the ball but on the base beneath the ball. This raises the cup attachment to clamp the ball. On cheaper ball heads, the screw presses directly on the ball, scraping and pushing it out. NOT with this ball head. Whether you're looking for a ball head to complement your variety of off-camera mounts or a lighter weight camera, you'll be extremely satisfied with this purchase.
