I bought this scanner based on good reviews and expected it to work smoothly and easily as advertised. What a disappointment. It boils down to this: the document feeder pulls pages in from the back so quickly and randomly that it's impossible to control them as they exit from the front. The paper handover is a disaster. The high speed advertised in the reviews is a BIG PROBLEM as the pages cascade on top of each other and many of them come out of the scan folded, crumpled and even ruined. The bad news is that the PDF generated by this messy, messy, runaway process just looks ridiculous. Pages pulled out at an odd angle are presented just like that, every other page is crooked and unusable to read. I will be returning this device for a refund immediately and looking for the best option - a device that actually works. The amount of positive reviews this piece of junk has received leaves me completely confused and questioning the honesty of those writing reviews. In no universe is this piece of junk even a minimally functional product. It doesn't do what it was designed and advertised for: multi-page single-sided or double-sided scanning. UPDATE: I bought the MPF M426fdw HP LaserJet Pro and am now using it happily and am very satisfied. It works, you know, as advertised.
