I'm not a professional mechanic, but I do basic maintenance on my cars (and sometimes friends' cars) at home through . On 3 cars I change the brake fluid at least once a year and change winter/summer tires depending on the season for a sportier car. So I'm not constantly taking wheels off or off, but when I do I want to minimize rim damage as much as possible, especially on the good rims I have. These plastic cup lifters work well, aren't broken or cracked (you'll never guess with foreign metals, despite Sunex's reputation) and did an excellent job without scratching the rims. I don't have an Ugg Ugg and only use a broken bar/torque wrench so I can't say if they hold up to everyday professional use with impact tools, but for the home mechanic who sees intermittent use these sockets have served me well. The plastic shell is relatively easy to remove if necessary. The included socket holder is a great way to keep these sockets together and away from my other sockets so they don't just roll around in the box.
