Review on 🧭 Compass Pro for iPad by Twelve South: Portable Display Stand with 3 Optimal Viewing and Typing Angles for iPad and iPad Pro by Ray Welchhance

I expected more from tablet accessories

Probably the best iPad stand available in this form factor. However. It has serious flaws: 1. This thing is HEAVY for its size. If you're looking for an iPad stand that caters to "portable culture," the size is great, but the weight is terrible. I don't know why they didn't use another strong yet light alloy, especially for the price.2. Not only is it heavy, but the hinge design is flawed (again, probably due to the alloy used). There is a fragile piece of metal on the hinge that prevents the rear stand from moving too far back. After 3 months of regular use this piece of metal broke off and now the rear stand bends 90Β° or more. In fact, for this reason, the stand no longer closes flush, which is also a bit cosmetically unappealing.3. When the stand first arrived, one of the small plastic tabs that protruded from the bottom to hold the iPad in place was very stiff due to the metal flexing slightly, causing it to press against the plastic. Since I was traveling and didn't have time to return it I just tinkered it to bend it a bit and it worked. However, I expected better quality control from the start. Am I happy with that? I liked it at first, despite its weight. I thought it was a decent compromise for the form factor. However, after three months of regular use, I can honestly say that I will not buy it again. expected more.
