I love this! I'm updating my bedroom and wanted something easy to install, lightweight (since it's just the me and the cat), and simple. I believe it's plastic, but I am perfectly fine with that. I dropped it a few times trying to install it lol the cat loves watching it sparkle when the sun hits it in the evening and I love sleeping under it. I didn't install the light bulb. We like her just the way she is. Its perfect. Please buy!
