Review on Alkazone Accurate Check: Strips for Precise Water Testing by Ernest Duckett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

this gives a general idea of the pH of the water

I used this to test my outside hose water, my softened water, my softened water after it went through a reverse osmosis system and a cup of black tea. I also used it to test all of the above water options after adding Alkazone Alkaline Booster drops. The strips recorded differences between all of the liquids tested, but the results were very general. Because I've tested so many liquids, I've had plenty of data showing that the strips can indeed detect different pH levels, but not in an accurate way. The strips were enough to prove the Alkaline Booster drops were working, but if accurate pH levels are important to you, these strips won't help. They only give the range that the pH falls in, a "guess". Some have noticed that the colors on the strips do not match the colors on the chart. That's true, and it contributes to the overall result rather than the exact result. You can get an overview though as the stripes still behave consistently (they don't always match up the same way) and you get used to purple turning to brown etc. One thing that helped me, a better one To get result is to wait 2 or 3 minutes. (instead of 20 seconds) for the last reading. In the meantime the colors had gotten a little better.
