I chose this over the same sized Culligan filter because it was about 1/3 smaller. I replaced a similar Culligan that had a leaking exhaust valve/knob after a dozen years of use. Pentek #10 was the same size and matched the bracket the Culligan was mounted on, but the screw holes were unthreaded and no self-tapping/tape screws were included. I ended up using a matrix and a tap to start the threads. I also noticed that another customer gave feedback about not being able to tighten the housing enough, I suspect it was because there was no filter wrench included. Once those annoyances were addressed, it worked well and looks well built. The kit included a small amount of silicone grease for the gasket. Another thing to note, my old Culligan was made in the USA, not sure if the new ones are, but the Pentek was clearly marked as made in China.
