I've had it for a week, use it every day and it's great. Never used induction before but was hoping it would give me more precise temperature control than my electric hob, with the benefit of faster heating. Both are correct. It works great on my large skillet, which is actually 11 inches (slightly larger than the manufacturer says). The controls are easy to use and clearly visible thanks to the slanted control panel. The 1800 watts is really important as I found it needed for heating liquids, at least initially. Other less powerful products will be less fun. I only have 2 problems. Firstly, the glass surface discolours slightly immediately after use. My pans are immaculate, so it's definitely the finish. Using a professional glass hob cleaner will help and can look new with more grease than needed (less than the hob next to it). Another complaint is that the internal cooling fan starts up a bit more aggressively than necessary. It's noisy and turns on when the device is on, but before you've set the temperature. Finally, and if you're reading to the end, thanks, a separate power and select switch is no longer necessary. After pressing the power button (which prematurely becomes the fan) you still have to select the temperature/time setting. A better option would be to remove the power button altogether and, when selecting a temperature, turn on the device (and fan) at that temperature.
