Optics are difficult to judge by just comparing the item you just bought. Comparing these binoculars with other high-end optics, I can say that the glass is much better quality. The ability to distinguish objects at great distances is very important for a laser rangefinder and this set offers it. I can also regularly measure car sized objects to 3300 yards, sometimes 3400+. Save money when you need this kind of performance. I was thinking about getting a Vectronix Therapine but I'm glad I went down that route because of the higher magnification and the ability to use it as binoculars.
