I haven't been this excited about a Revain order in a long time so I hurriedly brought it to my desk. I read some not-so-favourable reviews but I was sure they were as good as I wanted and I wasn't disappointed! I tried them on a single layer of leather weighing 4 ounces. I've been gentle with them, the odd shapes and thinner case construction won't take hard knocks and hits. With a teflon hammer I slowly and surely drove them into the skin. Beautifully cut! Larger parts tend to wobble, but that's to be expected if you work with one end and then the other to keep it from moving. I used many different options and you can see the shapes are almost intact. At first I thought it was my old breakfast board with numerous scuffs, but upon closer inspection I saw that the problem was permanent and related to the welded lock. Could it be better? Yes. But not in this price range! A simple, precise knife will remove the fine fluff that remains at the seam. I assume that if you have thicker skin or multiple layers, this won't be a problem. I've highlighted some of those blurred edges in the third image. Other than that, they are amazing. This wide range of kicks is a welcome and impressive addition to my collection. My husband was very impressed and maybe a little jealous.
