Usable but not as dark as I had hoped

This pencil is easy to write on, easy to sharpen and works well on mixed media projects. However, I was hoping that it would write and draw really dark, and while it's darker than many of my pencils, it's not as dark as I was hoping. Doesn't fit black. In most compositions it looks like a medium to almost dark shade of anthracite. I'm layering it along with other materials to darken it a bit, but overall it's still a good buy for the amateur artist.

Stabilo's soft wax marks on almost any surface.
