I was hesitant to buy one of these to mount my phone on the steering wheel. My Harley's steering wheel and front fairing wobble a bit even when idling. I figured I needed extra protection in the form of a rubber band or something. I ended up buying rubber bands and after a few weeks of use they started tearing and tearing. Frustrated, I bought a RAM mount system to try something else. This thing is easy to install, multi-directional, and solid as a rock. The X-shaped retention system along with the pencil-like rubber grips do a great job of keeping my phone securely in place. It's just as easy to place and remove my phone on the device. Literally seconds. Once locked, you can still tilt left to right for just the angle of view while recording. My phone stays in place no matter what terrain I'm on. Goodbye.
