The collar is fabric and fits my 17 lb. An adult beagle is good BUT he is weak, like a walking collar. The buckle is solid BUT the buttons on the side buckle are too soft and easy to accidentally press, causing the collar to come loose. My Beagle may be tiny but hunting dogs are strong and durable so this collar is not a good replacement for my harness when walking. The bow tie is a good accessory but my beagle was itchy from it so I took it off. In general, one thing is fashionable but not very functional, except for a hanger for a dog tag. I still use it as we are mostly at home during this quarantine but if we ever need to take a long walk where I need a strong collar I would use a different collar with better materials.
