This is exactly the same as your plain cheap clockwork movement that fails after twenty years. I was able to use hands, mounting nuts and washers from the old gearbox. But they don't tick. The second hand moves smoothly and quietly, like an old-fashioned clock with a rosette. I don't understand how they can do that. It looks like it will kill the battery in a week. After over a year with the original battery, it lost just over a minute.
