QC Issue - But nice cam

I have a replacement coming as the first cam I got displayed its image upside down. Tells me they are not doing a whole lot of QC in the build process and that is concerning. That aside, this was the easiest cam to set up that I have had. Some I have spent hours on. Here is a top level view of how I got the camera on my network and working with Blue Iris. Certainly there may well be other ways to accomplish the following:CAMERA SETUP* Download and install the software. Cam Search is the app you want on your desktop PC in Windows.* Connect the cam to your router with the supplied ethernet cable.* Use the Cam Search app to find the camera.* Double click your camera. A secondary app (IP Camera), will appear. **** Log into the Camera, U: Admin, PW: Admin* Use the left [Settings] tab, [Network], to set up the WifI parameters and join your network.* Set username and password under [Advanced], [Users], for the cam.* Disconnect the ethernet cable and test to see if you can view the cam in the "Cam Search" app.* If you can see the came you are set for the next steps, if you have such need.BLUE IRIS SETUP* I use Blue Iris and the cam works with it.* Add a new camera.* Enter User Name and Password in Blue Iris.* Blue Iris suggested the Generic ONVIF camera after finding the camera via search.* Save and backout of the Blue Iris camera setup. You should now see the cam.*** NOTE - After the 3 asterisk step you maybe able to update the firmware of the cam. You have to download it from the website. MAKE SURE you get the RIGHT firmware update and do read the text file inside the download. The firmware update was very useful to me as it extended the travel of the TILT possibly another 15 to 25 deg. I need the cam to look up and this helped. I waited until I had the cam setup and then did the firmware update and that cleared all my settings. Thus, you could try the update after the 3 *** step, prior to making the settings as this would be more efficient. The WiFi reception of the cam for me was iffy. I am going to wire it via ethernet. I do have 3 walls to go through and about 30 ft as the crow flies to the cam. I have had 4 other IP cam brands and all struggled to stay connected to WiFi, so keep that in mind as I did not deduct a star for the reception.I will add more to this review if I come across anything substantial once the new cam arrives and is working. Hopefully it will see the world right side up and I can add a star or 2 back to the review!-P
