Review on Enhance Performance with Mr. Gasket 2662 Chrome O-Ring 45 Degree Water Neck by Tom Tofte

I've seen mixed reviews on this product. Remember Ford had two different sized elbow hoses. One had both ends the same size and the other had a larger end to connect to the water inlet. Since these are not used in modern engines, they are at the mercy of aftermarket manufacturers. I installed this with an elbow that has a larger water neck and didn't find any leaks like some. I attribute this to using quality clamps (not Chinese counterparts). I also always use Permatex non-curing sealant. This helps reduce the shine needed on chrome and aluminum hose necks. The aft o-ring is a great idea and worked flawlessly. My rating went down from 5 to 4 stars because the lock washers weren't included, presumably due to the manufacturer's desire for an additional four cent profit.
