Review on 🌬️ Aerostar Pleated MERV 11 20X20X1: Optimal Air Filtration for Cleaner Indoor Spaces by Robert Pearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That's great. Be wary of previous comments about small size/packaging.

Good. So I'm VERY picky about things like furnace filters. It drives my wife crazy how focused I am on researching car wax and oven filters and even the chemicals needed to clean the fins of an outdoor AC condenser lol. I rarely post reviews but wanted to keep it very simple to describe what my wife thinks is important and what made me hesitant and concerned as I placed an order and hoping that many of the reviews were wrong. First, filters are NOT smaller. There are two things to consider when sizing furnace filters. First of all, make sure you have the right filter size! I can't tell you how many times I've spoken to people at company picnics etc (my brother-in-law owns a large HVAC company) who just thought there was no difference between a 20 3/8" filter and a 20" "-Filter. You must check directly with the manufacturer to ensure you have the exact size of the filter in question. Second, there are two sizes listed in the product listing. This applies to third party filter websites, Revain and other retailers. First is "filter size" and then "actual filter size". You need to understand that the manufacturer's size is the "filter size" that you need to match. What you also need to understand about these disposable cardboard filters is that the DEPTH measured will not be the same SO --- A filter that says you have a 19 7/8" x 21 1/2" x 1 "Need a filter, matches a filter listed as such. What you get is a filter size 19 7/8" by 21 1/2" by 0.75". That doesn't make it short lol. Here is, what you get. If you go to a big retailer, they have that too. If you make sure the manufacturer's sizing matches the size you received for the first two measurements, the 19 7/8" x 21 1/2" filter you get will be EXACTLY that. However, it's thinner at .75". IT'S FINE. Measure one up at the big stores, that's how it works. If it's too small, have it you ordered the wrong size/didn't buy the right size Second, I'm totally impressed with the top of the filter (where the cardboard is in a diamond pattern star runs. I should have provided an image of other competitors but this one is the same structure/strength as the familiar branded filters. The ones I've been using for the past 6 months (other brand than this) definitely worse in quality and I can see it.. will do the job, the quality is amazing and lasts as long Fourth: packaging. They arrived in PERFECT condition. Be aware that this is actually a fine wireframe frame, as are all. There was no physical damage that would have a noticeable impact on the effectiveness of this filter really impressed and satisfied. Great buy for the price. I have no problem recommending these filters to people. I'm sure I could find better options for a lot more money and very technical analysis, but then again ----- at this price point and what you actually get - I couldn't be happier. Excellent value for money, for those who change them every month there is no point in spending $12-30 on a filter. Just get the right Merv rating for what you need, make sure the width and length are RIGHT/correct. And you are ready!
