We have lots of wild birds and finches are one of them - I bought this seed and two finch feeds from the leading wild bird feed companies but there were no finches at all. feeders. One feeder has a mesh screen and the other has tiny perch holes for finches, but not a single bird has visited. I have feeders in two different locations and we live at the edge of the woods near a creek so there is plenty of cover nearby. I even had to throw the seeds out of the colander twice, as moisture accumulated in them. Our other feeders are regularly emptied by the variety of birds we have - I keep oil sunflower seeds and mix them into other feeders - even the cheap mixes devour - and these niger seeds just lie there - and they are the most expensive seeds we have Bought to date so I was hoping they would offer some activity but that hasn't happened - even after more than a month.
