My microwave has made a hole in itself (about 1 cm). As an engineer, I calculated that there shouldn't be any significant leakage through such a small hole, but I decided to buy a gauge to check. This is one of the worst products I have ever seen. Numbers jump all over the place, buttons and functions don't work as advertised. The "MAX" function just doesn't work. Finally I put it in the microwave (only 2 seconds - I wouldn't advise longer) to see if it measures anything. It beeped (which according to the instructions should be 5.0 mW/cm^3) but when I checked the maximum value was 0.00. just trash. Fraudulent product in my opinion. Anyone can assemble a battery, a few buttons, and an LCD.
