Review on 🔧 AEM Cold Air Intake System 21-764C (Non-CARB Compliant) by Stephen Schmidt

I installed this air intake on my 17 year old VW Passat 1.8T Gen3 and it has made a huge difference and I would recommend it to anyone trying to improve the performance of their 1.8T or any other car. Made a noticeable difference and would make this purchase again. Now you can hear the airflow, especially when you sit on it. My MPGs have also improved. Would combine this with a few other mods (CTS throttle and turbo pipe. $150 each to get rid of pancake pipes). I also have a 3" MagnaFlow exhaust, JB4 tuner and 3" CTS downpipe with coil (90 degree oxygen sensor - no CEL) and I NEED a Vibrant resonator (farts and sounds ridiculous) . but the car moves now! In any case. Installation was pretty easy. The hardest part was installing the PCV valve and securing it, but don't give up and follow the instructions. I cut off a corner and had to go back and reinstall it, which didn't take long. It rubs a little on the plastic rail of the spark plug (no big deal. Just flex a little). I hope the bracket doesn't break, I'll follow suit accordingly. 1 month and everything is going well. The inlet filter is easy to clean on the go.
