Easy to install and keep clean

Overall very good product, after 8 months of use the bracket on the back of the intake pipe broke off, so I have air leaks and not enough power for the engine, let's hope AEM may solve this problem in the future or make it more durable to withstand more current.

Decent shot - filters

Shot about a week ago. The intake noise is much clearer. Installation was easy, but it was awkward to line everything up and the PCV valve connection seemed to be too short. The plug connection didn't fit and I had to remove the tab from the standard connection for a better fit. At the same time, I installed the Neuspeed tuning module, so I don't notice any intake-related gains. Installed on Jetta 1.8 2015.

The mount broke after 9 months of use.

I think this is a great product for the price. The installation was a bit tricky and after that I spent a lot of time setting up the product. Everything is fine at the moment. I used this trick for 4-6 months. Do not leave a hose on the master cylinder as the brake pedal will vibrate. Make sure the tubes are securely fastened so they don't come loose and end up on the master cylinder. It's still a great product when combined with a flush valve and/or ECU tuning. This trick is quite good. I think it's a 3 inch pipe which allows for a lot of airflow but also creates a lot of turbulence in the bypass valve. If you are using a standard diverter valve you will hear a high pitched whistle tone indicating a leak. B. due to turbulence. If you already have an aftermarket or plan to fit a secondary distributor valve then I'm sure it will work fine, I haven't gotten to that yet. Installation was a bit tricky just because it's such a big pipe. ... Make sure itโ€ฆ

Another great trick from AEM!

I installed this air intake on my 17 year old VW Passat 1.8T Gen3 and it has made a huge difference and I would recommend it to anyone trying to improve the performance of their 1.8T or any other car. Made a noticeable difference and would make this purchase again. Now you can hear the airflow, especially when you sit on it. My MPGs have also improved. Would combine this with a few other mods (CTS throttle and turbo pipe. $150 each to get rid of pancake pipes). I also have a 3" MagnaFlowโ€ฆ
