Based on other reviews, I decided to buy one size larger than the chart shows. I have a very petite 6 year old (48 inches tall and 35 pounds) and I ordered a size 8 in this shirt. I wanted to take into account that it also compresses and only lengthens a bit on the arms after washing, but fits well elsewhere. Very good material, I am satisfied. Note: The pants are the same color although they look darker online. (pictured beige)
