I bought this grinder thinking aluminum would be stronger and more durable in the long run, but this grinder had serious problems. The biggest problem was that there was a small gap between the blade and the meat grinder ram, causing the whole thing to become clogged with stringy bits of meat instead of cutting through cleanly. The blade was also quite dull. Halfway through my process I stopped and started troubleshooting. After sharpening the blade, line up the die and find a washer to install behind the blade to close the gap. Finally, it worked much better than out of the box. A two piece piston also needs to be threaded or something because it breaks all the time. It must also come with a "bean pod" if it is to be used to stuff sausages. I replaced it with a Kitchen Aid brand plastic coffee grinder and was much happier for half the price. Gvode took a trip to a thrift store. This wolf fought 7 pounds of meat, Kitchen Aid tore apart multiple batches of similar sized sausages in less time.
