Larger than expected. I have used this grinder many times since purchasing it. So far so good, high quality, well made and easy to customize. After last time I chopped up 15lbs of meat it doesn't take long to finish and all the pieces stay in place, looks like it could last a long time. It's just perfect for what I need, buy a powerful meat grinder instead.

This grinder worked very well. I've only used it to grind steak trimmings into ground beef, so I can't rate the sausage filler. A spike of partially frozen diced meat kept the grinder from sticking together. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it took a lot of effort to mount it securely in my kitchen. But when I did it, it worked great.

I've wanted to use my KA since I bought it and I know it can do a lot more work with different attachments. But the KA brand attachments are dear to me, and when I found this meat grinder suitable for KA, I decided to give it a try. The material of this grinder is thick and has different sized holes for grinding. The brush inside is a plus and a really useful thing. This also makes it easy to clean the filling tube. I was very disappointed in this product when I first used it. Although chopping the meat was easy, I was very disappointed with the filling process. There are no instructions for using stuffing tubes. At first I thought to install the complete system like sanding and add a stuffing box. It was very frustrating. My wife bought this to inspire me to start sausage making at home. So far we have made two batches and are already planning the next batches. Great for chopping meat. Also, all the parts are metal, so I put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes to make sure it's cold. (Recommended). The sausage filler worked too. But it didn't work as smoothly as a meat grinder. I bought this grinder thinking aluminum would be stronger and more durable in the long run, but this grinder had serious problems. The biggest problem was that there was a small gap between the blade and the meat grinder ram, causing the whole thing to become clogged with stringy bits of meat instead of cutting through cleanly. This coffee grinder works. A little finesse wouldn't hurt, of course. A two piece plastic tool to help push the meat into the hopper is definitely not suitable.
