Review on SMAKN® 8PCS Battery Holder Black by Robert Oner

I haven't found a better 8AA case and will definitely buy this again, but it has a few downsides you should be aware of. No installation features. There are no screw holes or even protrusions to drill to secure the battery case. I made a U-strip out of a piece of steel to attach mine to the assembly I was powering. Very small ladder. While probably adequate for most projects, the conductors are 20 gauge or less and are made of copper clad aluminum (copper clad aluminum is very common today and is actually quite solderable). NOWires are fully supported by their leader. The unit I was sent had tiny conductors soldered to the connector and exiting the case through a hole. The insulation has been stripped right where the hole was, but there is absolutely NO tension on the wires. They are held in place by a tiny solder joint. I pulled out the terminals, removed the wires and soldered in new 18 gauge wires, then cut a slot in the case to reinstall each wire. Now I have a high-quality case for 8 batteries.
