I read the reviews and bought it anyway, which I rarely do. And with good reason, because I shouldn't have gotten it either. The needles are not seated properly. I agree with one reviewer I could add duct tape and make it work, I decided to just extend the smallest holder to make it work. You do not need to make any changes to use this product as intended. I haven't used it yet because I've only made one yarn doll since it arrived, but now that it's modified I should be working fine. I could end up making my own using items from the hardware store for about the same price and have a more versatile tool.
