Review on iSimple IS335 Auxiliary Input Adapter - Dash Mount Compatible by Bronson Hussain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's stupidly simple, but quoting habits isn't enough.

Unfortunately there is only a limited selection of 3.5mm panel mount connectors. This one seemed like a good deal at $10. I probably won't be using this kit's panel connector due to its mounting system. he doesn't have it. It simply slides into the hole with minimal serrations to hold it in place. I was hoping for some kind of nut or locking ring, but since that's missing I can't assume it will always stay intact. The panel connector looks like it will pop out of the hole when you unplug it. While it's not bad kit for those who don't know how to tune at all, the panel connector plug just looks silly. The bezel is too big and the curved letters are weird and distorted by the clear plastic cover. It really doesn't look very professional. An empty socket would look ten times better. The overall quality of the cables appears to be acceptable. It's a pity that the built-in socket is at the end of the 3.5mm plug in this set. Seems superfluous. There is another RCA to 3.5mm adapter cable that I need, except the connector has to be a panel jack. This would make this set usable.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Long wait
