And the sound is great too. The only minus

There is a 2005 Honda Accord that has an 'aux' button but no phone line. This item connects to a PAC AAI-HD3 14 pin AUX input to create an extra socket that still allows me to have satellite radio, FM and CD changer. And the sound is great too. The only negative that others have noted is that a 3/8" hole needs to be drilled (which I bought a step drill for which added another $20 to the project). The hole doesn't seal completely, though, so you'll need some sort of superglue to keep the…

Easy to install and fits snugly on the dash

Installation was easy. Since some reviewers complained about the plug popping out, I used a 5/16" bit (instead of the recommended 3/8"), but it was too small for the plug. I then used the recommended 3/ 8" hole drilled. Not sure if it helped, but both times I put masking tape over the hole to reduce the risk of splitting. the audio plug when I unplug it to reduce the friction that can pull the jack out of the dash. Overall, a very good, attractive product at a reasonable price, the only…

good but the design and quality are not up to date

This cable set is not bad but there are a few issues with it. As others have mentioned, I noticed that when removing the audio jack, the audio jack pops out of the bracket slightly. This isn't a huge issue for me as I plan on leaving the audio jack plugged into the audio jack almost all the time. I put some sealant on the ribbed plug as someone suggested to prevent this problem, but it still happens. More seriously, the male-to-male audio cable I received has a bad internal connection in one of

2002 Silverado 2500HD Clean "factory " look

Great product, the only one I can find that has a clean look. I installed it on my 2002 Silverado 2500HD. I placed the input connector on a blank plastic panel above the passenger airbag switch. Behind this plate is a large open cavity where I placed the PXDX module and additional wires. There's also a blanking panel next to the passenger airbag switch, but the plastic is thick and the shape behind it would have made it difficult to drill a clean 3/8 hole. MINOR PROBLEMS: The jack is narrow so…

It's stupidly simple, but quoting habits isn't enough.

Unfortunately there is only a limited selection of 3.5mm panel mount connectors. This one seemed like a good deal at $10. I probably won't be using this kit's panel connector due to its mounting system. he doesn't have it. It simply slides into the hole with minimal serrations to hold it in place. I was hoping for some kind of nut or locking ring, but since that's missing I can't assume it will always stay intact. The panel connector looks like it will pop out of the hole when you unplug it…
