There is a 2005 Honda Accord that has an 'aux' button but no phone line. This item connects to a PAC AAI-HD3 14 pin AUX input to create an extra socket that still allows me to have satellite radio, FM and CD changer. And the sound is great too. The only negative that others have noted is that a 3/8" hole needs to be drilled (which I bought a step drill for which added another $20 to the project). The hole doesn't seal completely, though, so you'll need some sort of superglue to keep the connector from floating when you pull the phone out. However, I give 5 stars because the sound quality is excellent and I knew about the superglue problem from previous reviews and from the installation videos.
