Good sharpening stone with easy instructions

It sharpened my very very basic set of kitchen knives I bought years ago for about $30 and had never sharpened or sharpened before. These knives were serrated, blunt and could no longer easily cut anything. It was dangerous, but I didn't know any better. But lately I've gotten more into cooking and I've come across the fact that even bad knives can be sharpened to cut fairly smoothly. use stone. NOTE: This is a sharpener, not a honer, so should not be used frequently. I would recommend this honer: https://smile.amazon.com/Wรผsthof-Knife-Sharpening-Steel-Loop/dp/B00009WDT8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1521256552&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=wusthof+knife+ Upon receipt of this item I checked out the linked video in PDF format which is also attached to the side of the box. It seems pretty easy, but definitely didn't feel natural when I first tried it. I'd recommend using a knife that you don't care too much about, just in case you mess up a little. I also only used the accessory tool that came with the kit on the first two knives. Once I felt I had a good idea of what angle to sharpen at, I removed the accessory tool and sharpening was a lot easier. Now all my knives pass the tomato slicing test fairly easily. They pass the magazine's paper cutting test, but they're not perfect. Now they cut beautifully; A million times better than anything I've had before.
