Review on Tea Forte Kati Cup Bleu: Steep Loose Leaf Tea with Ceramic Infuser Cup, Basket, and Lid by Kirt Phillips

Last year I bought a different type of Kati cup and I really liked it. I used it more than once a day so figured a second would be helpful. Since I liked the look of the Bleu, I ordered it. Ordered 12th February 2019. Used fairly regularly - maybe 3-4 times a week. It was either washed by hand or placed on the top rack of the dishwasher like an old Kati mug. 05/12/2019 Tea brewed in it and a hissing heard. It turned out to be a hairline crack on the inside of the mug. While I love the design and utility of these mugs, there seem to be some quality control issues. It's a shame because I was planning on ordering some as a gift. When they work, they're really great. As others have pointed out, they tend to get very hot. I solve this problem by brewing at the table where I want to have tea. I had no problem with tiny bits of tea leaf in the tea and the tea stayed hot. This is a great feature in winter. But cracking it after three months of simple use is a disappointment.
