I bought this for a MIDI interface for my Windows PC. I have to say I was surprised at how well this controller works. For a kids game controller, this is one of the best midi guitars at an affordable price. I now understand why they can command such a premium from some sites and sellers. If you're looking for a guitar controller for your home studio, check out this one. It's not the same as the Yamaha, but if you're on a budget you'll be surprised. One note: you need to buy a USB <<-->> MIDI cable or interface to use it as a controller. A straight 5-pin DIN to 5-pin cable connects it to the sound module.
