I know a lot of people have complained about these tops. I haven't had any problems so far. if you just press the middle, they snap into place immediately, no problem. I know if you grab the corner and pull. I haven't had any problems so far. But I don't put them in the dishwasher. I like her size. I also have 5 cups. I was hoping they were the same size just a little bigger and the lids were the same size as the 3 cups and they are. makes it easier to store in my closet. I love both sizes. I also have small rectangles. They're also great for small items or even a few leftover olives, pickles, or other small items. I even have small square 1/2 cups that are great for small things too. I've never had any problems with the lids and I haven't had any breakages. Maybe I just have a better batch than the others. I am not sure. I also have a couple of old snap tops and I agree they were much better and slightly better folded than the new ones. so i use all of them. I freeze a lot. So I need many containers. Didn't give 5 stars because I haven't had the square long enough.
