I've had odor problems in my 50 year old basement since I bought the house. Blowing with a conventional fan did not help. I bought 4 of these fans, 2 to bring air underground and 2 to push stale air out of the underground. Incredible difference in the air quality in my subsoil as a result. The most amazing thing about these fans is that you can mount them with the controls facing in or out where you can see the controls. You can unscrew the front panel and flip the fan blades if you need to change the direction of the fans. And they're fairly weather resistant, but not frost resistant, so just remove the fan in winter. Installation is very easy, they fit perfectly between the 16" center wall studs. It took about 10 minutes to install them for each fan. What a wonderful manufacturer; The product works very well and is easy to install, not to mention how beautiful it looks in the siding.
