Understand it for what it is and don't expect it to be what it isn't. This is a 37 degree flare tool for under $25. Don't expect performance from a tool that costs five times as much. That being said, I've successfully done 8 flares on a rigid heavy hydraulic line with this tool with no issues. This will do some damage to the tube on the clamp due to the design, but it was purely cosmetic. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to work that well based on the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Make sure your ends are straight and clean and you'll be fine. I wouldn't expect it to work well with anything harder than mild steel rather than stainless steel.
