I have these silver scissors, very beautiful. The intricate design is very attractive, and all the little protrusions don't bother or cause any discomfort. My shears came with some oil between the blades so be sure to clean them before you cut anything good. The cutting edges of the scissors and the tips are very sharp, making them great for embroidering or trimming thread or yarn. The blades are made of stainless steel and the handles are made of other metal. The scissors arrived in a lovely storage box which contained a thimble and a really fantastic tape measure. The tape measure has a latch - I've never seen this before - to keep it from unwinding when not in use. I love it.
