Lasts so far. I installed this in my shower because with the curtain closed it can get a bit dark at night with no natural light and a vanity light on the other side of the room. I don't use it every time I shower at night, depends on my mood and whether or not I think I need extra light, but so far it's holding up, I've probably used it about a dozen times, and the batteries are still there going. What I like about it is that you can set the timer on the remote for 15 minutes, which is enough time to set the right water temperature, shower, dry off and do anything else I might need during the day. to the bathroom before it turns itself off so I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. So far the moisture from the shower doesn't affect the light, it doesn't come into direct contact with the water as it's on the ceiling, but I take hot steam showers and don't see any harm in it. However, it can be a bit difficult to mount it high and it will be difficult to switch the rear on and off to change batteries, but so far so good.
