Just purchased this EGR upgrade kit and installed it on my wife's 2005 Malibu to fix code p0404. The old style EGR valve was prone to carbon buildup and I couldn't clean it like most EGR valves. This new guy is way better. It contains all the necessary equipment and instillation is very simple. I've had the valve on a car over 500 miles and the code didn't show up and I didn't have a 'software update' from the dealer.
