I was commissioned to reconstruct a large 82 year old bronze model airplane that was part of the Robert Gast Memorial at Bowman Field in Louisville. Soldering to solid bronze parts caused problems. It took a lot of heat to bring the solder to its melting point and by then the normal flux had evaporated. I raised the issue with Harris Metals Technical Service and Bridget was recommended to me. It had a very wide temperature range. It worked great. Combined with lots of heat from an acetylene air burner, I was able to build an airplane that would last another 80 years.
