I have a fairly inconsistent 5.1 setup made up mostly of speakers I bought at a thrift store. Aside from the subwoofer ($100), I've never spent more than $5 on a single speaker. I bought the Dayton to replace the very muted center channel speaker as it can be the most important speaker in the set if you don't want subtitles all the time. While I'm not thrilled with the sound, it works and seems to go well with my home theater! I'm giving it 4 stars because it suits my needs and I'm happy, but I know full well I can't get that kind of sound. the accuracy I would get with more expensive equipment. If you are looking for a good center speaker at a great price I see no reason not to buy this one.
