I like it but there are some significant design issues

I like this oven but there are some significant design issues. The size is perfect for a camping stove. It's good for pot cooking and big enough that big enough chunks of wood can be used to make good coals that last long enough for cooking (unlike really small camp stoves). It's also a good size to use as a small campfire, just for the fun of a small campfire. This is a solid construction. It just fits together. It goes well with my outdoor essentials square grill, which is another way of saying it's the perfect size for my purposes. Allows you to place a large ash pan in multiple locations, which is a good feature. Arrived in one day which is very good. Now the cons. First, ventilation. The ventilation on the bottom panel should be improved with a couple of big holes or more smaller ones. The lateral feed openings are also too small. I ended up cutting a larger front hole, cutting it up and down (left) to the top of the Onetigris nameplate, effectively cutting it out and more than doubling that front feed hole. This is a significant improvement for both ventilation and the feeding of large logs to feed the kiln. It is not necessary to cut the other side port, since it is enough that very small sticks cross over what is passed through the front port and they are easier to relocate to burn better after I have the front porch more have trimmed. For me, a very important issue is how the bottom of the oven rests on the floor. Most camping stoves are lightly carved on each side and actually only stand on the ground at the corners. On this stove, three of the four burners are firmly attached to the floor along the entire underside of the burner. This is normal when seated on a perfectly level surface, but it almost never happens in the field. Fewer points of contact with the floor make it easier to find a level place to set up the stove. Due to the way this stove connects together, the front and back pieces just slide down to connect with the side pieces, they can lift slightly when the stove tries to level itself with the ground it is not perfectly level on all four sides, which in the worst case can cause the oven to fall apart. Even on the corners of the panel that slides down, it's better to cut them so they don't even touch at the corners, just let the side panels touch at those corners. I hope a tiger brings some improvements to the stove because of its quality finish, quality materials and such a fantastic price. I hope they make the front power connector much bigger. I'm hoping they cut out the bottom middle sections of each side for better ventilation and more stability on less than perfectly flat ground. I hope they increase the number or size of the holes in the bottom panel to improve ventilation. And finally, I hope they make two more slots at the top, front and back, to make more room for the parts that fit in small pots or cups. Because it's stainless steel, you can make some of these modifications yourself with a drill, an aircraft metal cutter, and a dremmel, but it would be great if they just made these improvements while punching the metal. It doesn't seem like it would cost much more than the cost of production for them if the metal plate imprints were reprogrammed differently. What I like best about this oven is the volume of the firebox and the size of the top, which accommodates a small 5 inch square griddle very well. Being able to grill instead of just cooking in a pot really adds to the fun outdoors.

  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
